Bridal shows can be completely overwhelming for a girlfriend. There are so many other brides, so many stands, everyone is trying to get from point to point and can really go crazy. I will give you some tips and tricks to hit the bridal expo with style and fun!
Tip # 1: Wear comfortable shoes! -
You're going to walk a mile on a hard fair floor. Yes, it is lovely to look fashionable, but brides in stilettos never last long at the bridal fair. If you really want to see everything and be comfortable, think first of your feet! (But be a bit stylish and leave the stinky gym shoes in your house ... opt for some beautiful support shoes).
Tip # 2: 1000 brides meet in 1 place -
Do you think it could be a bit of a mafia scene? Well, then you're absolutely right! If you really want to get a valuable one at the same time with the exhibitors, I recommend that you plan the time of your visit to the Expo. When the fashion show takes place, the booths decrease significantly. This is a good time to talk with an exhibitor or try on the dresses in the sale of the dress. I also recommend early in the morning (especially if you want your choice of all those frugal price dresses).
Tip # 3: Your hand will cantarrá -
Many exhibitors will offer prizes in their stands and they will be asked to complete a voting form. Lose valuable time writing your contact information again and AGAIN. So print a couple of sheets of labels that include your name, your boyfriend's name, your wedding date, your address, phone number and email. Then it will be easy to peel and paste your information on the ballots. Then you can spend quality time reviewing all the cool things on display!
Tip # 4: Beware of Bridezilla! -
I often see the dreaded bridezilla at the Bridal Expo. You know her ... she is the girl who pushes your mom aside so she can see the job better, criticizes the colors of your wedding when she hears you talking to them, she walks to the prize box while she tells the exhibitor she does not want any information (just the prize!) and complains loudly how expensive everything is ... Oh, yes ... Bridezilla always makes an appearance at the nuptial Expo. But do not let this kind of girlfriend ruin your good time! She has a lot of bad karma surrounding her so just ignore her and have fun!
Tip # 5: Be patient and be kind -
Be the opposite of bridezilla. The exhibitors at the show have brought some excellent offers ... some you will not even know unless you talk to them! It is true! This kind of mentality will take you away with the exhibitors. I find myself giving FREE extra advice to nice girlfriends! I know other exhibitors do too! (Because we all want to work with nice girlfriends).
Tip # 6: Hydrate! -
The Round Up Center with more than 1000 people at any given time can heat up pretty quickly. And you can bet that water is not cheap! So bring some water for your trip. You do not want to have a headache!
Tip # 7: One step at a time -
Okay, the truth is that there will be MANY cabins, people and noise at the Bridal Expo. But it does not have to be overwhelming. YES, there are many options, but you do not have to choose EVERYTHING or choose NOTHING at that time. Here are a couple of TIPS in my TIPS to deal with all the options:
Seek And Ye Finding: know what you are looking for and enjoy the rest. Do not feel that you have to choose ALL of your Bridal Expo suppliers. This is just a sample of the best in your city. You can connect with some providers, maybe not. This is a great opportunity to meet people face to face and find out if they should be part of your wedding day.
One by one: approach each supplier calmly, ready to listen to the sales pitch (yes, the sales pitch). The exhibitors are there to sell you. You are there to buy, right? So, if someone is overwhelming, just politely ask them to DECREASE. You do not need the information dump! Ask the questions you want to answer.
